Kalahandi: A 35-year-old youth drowned in the Patrabasa canal under Kalampur block in Kalahandi district while bathing.
The deceased has been identified as Jhasaketan Nayak from Patrabasa village.
Fire Department personnel retrieved the body and took it to a nearby Community Health Centre, where doctors declared him dead.
Kalampur police registered an unnatural death case and seized the body, sending it to Jayapatna Gosthi Health Centre for autopsy.
