Bhubaneswar: The body of a youth was found hanging from the ceiling of a house at GGP Colony in Bhubaneswar on Sunday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Sachitra Barik – a native of Balipatna.
On being informed about the incident, Mancheswar police personnel arrived at the spot and sent the body for post-mortem. The police have also launched an investigation into the unnatural death and are going through the deceased’s last phone calls and messages.
It is suspected that the youth took the extreme step following a failed love affair. However, the actual reason behind the death would only be clear after the investigation, police said.
