Youth Hangs Self After Losing In Online Game In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: A tragic incident has come to light in Bhubaneswar, where a 23-year-old youth, Vikas Nayak, allegedly took his own life after losing a substantial amount of money in an online game. The incident occurred in the Champa Pokhari area under the Laxmisagar police station.

According to reports, Vikas was an avid online gamer and played games on his mobile phone. After incurring about Rs 7 lakh loss in the game, he reportedly lost his mental balance and was unable to cope with the situation. In a shocking turn of events, he allegedly hanged himself inside his house.

On being informed, police reached spot and seized the body for post-mortem. They have seized his mobile phone and registered a case. Further investigation is currently underway.
