Athgarh: In a shocking incident, a youth was killed in a group clash on Wednesday evening at Radhakrishnapur village under Khuntuni police limits of Cuttack district.
According to reports, the youth identified as Susant Rana of Radhakrishnapur village was killed after members of a rival group allegedly crushed him under the wheels of a tractor leading to his death following the clash.
The clash and the murder are said to be the fallout of previous enmity.
Palpable tension prevails in the area following the incident. Locals have resorted to torching vehicles. Additional SP Cuttack (Rural) and a posse of policemen have been deployed in the area following the incident. The deceased’s family have filed an FIR with Khuntuni police station in this connection.
