Youth Loses Leg In Freak Train Mishap In Angul

Bhubaneswar: A youth lost his leg in a gruesome train accident occurred near Mahupal village, under Kamakhyanagar police limits, on the Angul-Sukinda Railway line, on Thursday.

Bibek Padhana, a young resident of Mahupal, lost his leg in the tragic incident.

According to eyewitnesses, Bibek was crossing the tracks with a friend to attend to nature’s call when a speeding goods train hit him. As a result, his leg got severed completely.

Locals rushed Bibek to Kamakhyanagar Hospital, where doctors referred him to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack as his condition worsened.

Government Railway Police, have, launched an investigation into the incident.
