Bhubaneswar: The body of a youth was recovered from Astaranga beach in Odisha’s Puri district on Wednesday morning. The dead body with bruises and injury marks was lying on the beach near Gundalba under Astaranga police limits.
The deceased has been identified as Radhu, a resident of Puri.
According to reports, Radhu has been missing since Tuesday afternoon. Radhu left his house on Tuesday afternoon and when he did not return till late at night, his family searched for him in various places, but could not find him.
Locals spotted Radhu’s body lying on the beach this morning and informed the police, who recovered the body and sent it for autopsy. While an investigation into the incident is underway, the police are yet to ascertain whether Radhu was killed or committed suicide.
