Bhubaneswar: Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari on Tuesday warned of immediate strict action if there is proof of corruption or bribery in government work.
“Zero tolerance is our benchmark in this regard. Any suggestions on how to make the revenue administration more accessible to the public would be welcome. In this case, even if a common man wants to, he can directly meet the Minister and inform him/her about his/her problems,” Pujari said in response to various queries from reporters.
Pujari after taking charge as Revenue and Disaster Management Minister made a surprise visit to the Tehsil Office in Bhubaneswar today.
During the visit, Pujari held discussions with common people, lawyers and government officials. He also discussed how work is going on in the Tehsil office, how services are being delivered to the public and how complaints are being addressed.
The Minister promised that a timeline would be set for land, residential, and caste certificate applications and immediate access to these services.
Along with this, he directed the officials to prepare a final blueprint to ensure that common people are not harassed while coming to the tehsil office for various work and they can get all the services.
