Bhubaneswar: The Vigilance today arrested an Under Secretary of Planning and Convergence Department, Poorna Chandra Sahoo on charges of bribery. According to the Vigilance, Sahoo was held while accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000 from the owner of a computer firm for releasing a bill for the supply of 10 computers.
“The entire bribe money has been recovered from Sahoo and seized. In this connection, Bhubaneswar Vigilance has booked him under Section 7 of the PC Amendment Act. Investigation in progress against Sahoo,” the Vigilance stated.
