Cuttack: The 16-day festival of ‘Sharadiya Puja’ season has begun in various Shakti Peeths of Cuttack. Cuttack’s principal deity Maa Katak Chandi appeared in Bana Durga Besha today on the twelfth day of the holy Sixteen-Day Puja.
The rituals and worship by a sea of devotees created a devotional atmosphere in the area on Thursday. Devotees got emotional after seeing the rare appearance of Maa Katak Chandi, as it occurs once in a year.
Devotees from various parts of the district and beyond thronged Cuttack to seek the blessings of the Goddesses on an auspicious day.
