Bhubaneswar: Bollywood actors Ranveer Singh and Disha Patani, K-Pop group Blackswan, were among the celebrities who met Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik ahead of their performance in the inaugural ceremony of the FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup 2023 at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on Wednesday.
After meeting Ranveer Singh, Patnaik expressed that the actor’s presence will add lot of charm to the celebration at Barabati Stadium. He asked all to join to celebrate the spirit of hockey.

The Chief Minister was also glad to meet Shreya Lenka, a member of K-Pop group Blackswan; Indian American singer Lisa Mishra, who hails from Berhampur, India; and talented singer from Koraput, Namita Melka. He felt proud as Odia girls are making their marks across the world.

Patnaik also expressed his pleasure in meeting the K-Pop group Blackswan. “Their presence will certainly add to the ongoing celebrations of hockey. Let the vivacious spirit of hockey touch every heart,” he added.
