Bhubaneswar: The SS Gymnastics Academy, a unit of the Shimmering Stars Play School, opened its second branch at Nuasahi in Cuttack’s Bidansi. The new unit is spread over a sprawling 4000 sq. ft. area. The first unit of the academy is operational on the Shimmering Stars Play School campus for the past five years.
The SS Gymnastics Academy offers complete training facilities for budding gymnasts in Cuttack. Debraj Das, a coach of national repute, has been training the gymnasts of the academy and will also train the talents at the new branch of the academy. The academy is open all seven days a week in the morning as well as evening for gymnasts to practice.
Speaking at the inauguration of the new branch of The SS Gymnastics Academy, Director Dr Meghna Mishra shared her vision to make the academy a landmark of Cuttack and Odisha and train the budding talents to excel at Khelo India, the Asian Games and other sporting events.
Dr Mishra called on the local administration and the state government for their support and fulfilling the vision of the academy. She also requested the Odisha Gymnast Association to provide technical and coach support to the academy.
Academy founder Manjushri Mishra proposed the vote of thanks.
