Sundargarh: A youth, Bipin Toppo, was killed in an elephant attack in Badagaon Forest Range in Odisha’s Sundargarh on Sunday night.
According to reports, the incident took place in Timana village under the Badagaon Forest Range in the district. The deceased has been identified as one Bipin Toppo.
While Bipin was sleeping in his room last night, an elephant broke into the house and dragged him outside with the help of his trunk. Hearing his cries for help, local villagers rushed to the spot and rescued him from the elephant’s clutches.
He was rushed to a nearby healthcare center but succumbed to his injuries on the way.
It is worth mentioning here that another man was killed in an elephant attack in Tangargaon village in the district, while a woman was left critically injured in the attack.
