Bhubaneswar: A Block Resource Center Coordinator (BRCC) working in the office of Block Education Officer (BEO) at Gudvela in Bolangir has been arrested for furnishing fake certificate for a job.
Shyama Sundar Pradhan was working as a teacher in Dangapathar Upper Primary School earlier. He was promoted to BRCC by providing a fake BeD certificate.
He has been working as BRCC in BEO office since 2011. He was also accused of being involved in several corruption cases.
The District Education Officer (DEO) wrote to the concerned university to verify the certificate of the BeD certificated teachers. The concerned university recently confirmed Shyamsundar’s certificate fake. The DEO filed a written complaint at the Tusura police station two months ago in this regard. The BRCC absconded since then.
Based on the complaint, police registered a case and arrested the BRCC. He was forwarded to court, police said.
