Koraput: 5 Go Missing As Country Boat Capsizes In Patali River

Koraput: At least five persons went missing on Thursday after a boat ferrying them capsized in the Patali River near Tansing village of Kularsing panchayat under Nandapur block in Koraput district.

Among the missing are three women and two minor girls.

According to reports, three women and two minor girls of Tansing village had gone to Badelo village on a country boat to attend a wedding ceremony. While they were returning the country boat upon losing balance overturned and capsized in Patali River.

The missing persons have been identified as Lalmani Sisa, Sashirekha Arlab, Nabina Arlab and two minor girls—Puspanjali Arlab and Shanti Sisa.

Fire Service personnel have launched a search operation to rescue the missing persons.
