IMD Predicts Light Rain In Four Odisha Dists During Next 24 Hrs

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light rain at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, and Bhadrak, and dry weather over the rest districts of Odisha during the next 24 hours.

Further, there will be a gradual rise in maximum temperature(day temperature) by 2-3°C during the next 03 days and no large change thereafter at many places over the districts of Odisha. Minimum temperature (night temperature)will gradually rise by 2-3°C during the next 02 days and no large change thereafter at many places over the districts of Odisha, the IMD added.

Here’s IMD’s weather forecast and warning for Odisha for seven days:

Day 1 (Valid up to 0830 hrs IST of 28.03.2024)

Light rain is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, and Bhadrak, & dry weather is likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

Day 2 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 28.03.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 29.03.2024)

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.

Day 3 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 29.03.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 30.03.2024)

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.

Day 4 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 30.03.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 31.03.2024)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, and Balasore, & dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

YELLOW WARNING:-(BE UPDATED) Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, and Balasore.

Day 5 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 31.03.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 01.04.2024)

Light to moderate rain or thundershower is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Angul, Jharsuguda, & dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

YELLOW WARNING:-(BE UPDATED) Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Angul, Jharsuguda.

Day 6 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 01.04.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 02.04.2024)

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.

Day 7 (Valid from 0830 hrs IST of 02.04.2024 to 0830 hrs IST of 03.04.2024)

Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha.
