Koraput: Border Security Force (BSF) personnel during a specialized operation at Barhavalasa and Chedamamidi villages in Koraput district on Friday detected a weapon making workshop and seized 6 SBML (Smooth Bore Muzzle Loading) guns and other articles.
According to an official press release, acting on precise intelligence input from the ‘Intelligence Branch’, a specialized operation was launched by the Company Operating Bases (COB) Ralegada and Sunki at Barhavalasa and Chedamamidi villages.
During the operation, the Area Domination Patrol (ADP) party identified a suspicious woodpile within the 65 Battalion Area of Responsibility (AOR).
Upon conducting an intensive search, the following items were recovered from two locations: 6 SBML (Smooth Bore Muzzle Loading) Guns, 2 Iron Barrels, 3 Under Barrel Rods, 1 Butt Half Repair Wood, 1 Jubliclip, 1 Trigger Mechanism, 2 Wood Rasp Files, 1 File, 1 Hexa Handle with Blade, 3 Hammers, 1 Vasooli, 4 Daw (knives), 1 Cutting Pliers, 1 Metal Tongs Pliers, 1 Chisel, 1 Chenni (Chisel), 1 Screwdriver, 3 Reg Mark, 1 Rail Track Anvil, and 2 Iron Tools.
The operation underscores the dedication and vigilance of the BSF in combating threats and maintaining peace and security in the region.
