Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Revenue and Disaster Management Department has organised a training programme for its officers and employees to strengthen digital governance, improve administrative efficiency and promote the use of technology in day-to-day official work.
The programme, held at the departmental conference hall in Lok Seva Bhawan on Saturday, aimed to familiarise officials with the operational features and practical applications of various software platforms developed and managed by the Centre for Modernising Government Initiatives (CMGI) under the General Administration and Public Grievance Department.
Desk Officers, Section Officers and Assistant Section Officers from different branches of the department attended the programme. Project Assistant Debasmita Pattanayak and her team from CMGI conducted the training sessions.
The participants were given hands-on exposure to key digital platforms, including the Human Resource Management System (HRMS), My Office module, Bill Browser, HRMS Dashboard, State Dashboard, Department Dashboard and Operational Payment Management System (OPMS). The functioning and features of other CMGI-managed digital applications were also explained.
The training focused on enabling officials to make effective use of these platforms for streamlining routine administrative processes, simplifying official work and strengthening online monitoring mechanisms.
Officials expressed confidence that wider adoption of these digital tools would improve transparency, enhance administrative efficiency and facilitate faster delivery of public services.
