Bhubaneswar: Industries Minister Sampad Chandra Swain on Thursday visited the Seafood Park at Deras and reviewed different projects.
On this occasion, Minister Swain visited different enterprises in the Seafood Park and discussed with the stakeholders. The Minister promised to look into the various demands of the stakeholders and take appropriate steps.
After taking a tour of the various enterprises at the Seafood Park the Minister attended a meeting and said IDCO has acquired 151 acres of land out of which 88 acres have been provided for setting up of industries.
In this industrial estate provision has been made for opening enterprises by 17 organisations. Out of these 3 have been operationalised and construction of 4 is underway. In addition to this 10 organisations have taken land for starting their enterprises. The Minister encouraged them and asked them to start their enterprises soon. This will employ 10,000 women and 15,000 youths. Hostel arrangements will be made for the employees of this industrial area.
The State government is discussing with various agencies in this connection. The government is committed to establishing 11 more such parks in different districts with an emphasis on industrialization in the state.
The Minister was accompanied by IDCO Managing Director Bhupinder Singh Poonia, Executive Director Suresh Chandra Dalai, CGM Bijay Chandra Tripathy, ADM Bhubaneswar Rudra Narayan Mohanty and other senior officials.
