Bhadrak: The situation in strife-torn Bhadrak district in Odisha improved somewhat after three days of communal unrest. Keeping the situation in view, the district administration has ordered the opening of shops from 6.00 am to 7.00 pm on Monday.
However, Section 163 is in force throughout the district and Internet services have been suspended. Internet will be provided only through leased lines and services will be available to banks, corporate organizations and large industrial organisations.
The administration has advised people to avoid assembly of five or more people at any place. Meanwhile, all the closed shops in Dhamnagar and Dobal have opened today amid the crackdown. Bank transactions can be made from today.
While 15 persons have been arrested so far in connection with the violence that rocked Bhadrak Town over a Facebook post three days back, police said that more arrests are likely. The DIG has requested the people not to believe in rumours and stay indoors unless it is necessary to go out.
