Youth Goes Missing After Jumping Into Mahanadi River, Search Ops On

Youth Goes Missing

Jagatsinghpur: A youth reportedly went missing after jumping into the Mahanadi River over a family dispute near Paradip Bhutamundi Pool in Jagatsinghpur district, on Saturday.

The individual has been identified as Bibhu Majhi (25), a resident of Mangarajpur village under Kujang Police Station. Bibhu was pursuing diploma in mechanical engineering.

According to reports, Bibhu jumped into the river early this morning following a family dispute. Local residents and fishermen found him jumping into the river and immediately alerted the Kujang Fire Service officials about it.

Upon receiving the information, fire service personnel arrived at the scene and launched a search operation in the river with the help of fishermen. Till the last report came in, Bibhu has not yet been located.
