Bhubaneswar: A truck reportedly hit the BMW car of renowned athlete Dutee Chand near OMP Square in Cuttack city. Fortunately, Dutee escaped unhurt in the road mishap.
According to reports, Dutee was on her way back to Bhubaneswar from Jajpur with her friend when her car was hit, resulting in substantial damage to the vehicle.
In a daring move, Dutee chased the fleeing truck and managed to stop it near the Kathajori Bridge. Upon being informed, Madhupatna Police reached the spot and detained the truck driver for questioning.
Dutee alleged that the truck driver not only hit her car but also hurled abuses and misbehaved with her.
“The truck driver began honking aggressively near OMP Square, and despite giving way, he intentionally rammed into my car and attempted to flee. I pursued him to Kathajori Bridge and alerted the police,” Dutee recounted.
