Bhubaneswar: Odisha is all set to launch direct flight services from two of its airports to multiple cities in the first week of January 2025.
Taking to his X handle, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi informed about it. With direct flights to these places being demanded for a long time, the facility would prove beneficial for economic growth of the state, the Chief Minister said in the post.
“A new chapter is going to be added to the connectivity of Odisha. Direct flight services are starting from Veer Surendra Sai Airport of Jharsuguda to Hyderabad, Raipur, Lucknow and Mumbai from January 1, 2025, and from Bhubaneswar Biju Patnaik International Airport to Indore, Dehradun, Kochi, Jaipur, Lucknow from January 3, 2025. This will prove to be a milestone in the economic development of the state”, read the CM’s tweet.
Chief Minister announced that these new routes would boost the state’s economic growth, as direct flights to these destinations have been in high demand for a long time.
