Bhubaneswar: In a shocking and heinous incident, a 4-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 17-year-old minor boy in the Riamal police station area of Deogarh district on Saturday.

On Sunday morning, while she was playing outside her house, the accused took her to his house and raped her under the pretext of showing her video on a mobile phone. The accused, a relative of the girl, left her after the girl cried.

Later, the girl told her mother about the incident. Upon seeing the wounds and bleeding in her private parts, the mother filed a complaint at the Riamal police station last night.

Based on the complaint, police registered a case and launched an investigation.
