Bhubaneswar: Vigilance sleuths on Wednesday launched searches in connection with the acquisition of disproportionate assets case against Ramachandra Satpathy, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) of Athamallik Block in Angul district.
The searches are being conducted at eight locations across Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, and Kalahandi districts.
The searches, led by a team of seven Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs), 15 inspectors, and supporting staff, are being carried out on the strength of search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack.
The locations being searched include Satpathy’s residential houses, government quarters, office premises, and properties belonging to his family members and in-laws.
- Residential house of Satpathy at Ward No.15, Plot no.12, Gayatri Nagar, Dhenkanal.
- Quarter of Sri Ramachandra Satpathy located at Attamallick Town, Dist-Angul.
- Office room of Sri Ramachandra Satpathy located at Panchayat Samiti Office, Attamallick, Dist-Angul.
- Paternal house of Sri Ramachandra Satpathy at Banasingh, PS- Sadar, Dhenkanal.
- Residential house of his in-law at Junagarh, Kalahandi.
- House of his in-law at village- Karamula, PS – Gandia, Dhenkanal.
- Residential house of another in-law located at Bhawanipatna, Kalahandi.
- Structure built over Plot at Bachhipur, Trisulia, Barang, Cuttack.
The raids are ongoing, and the Vigilance Department is expected to reveal more information about the alleged disproportionate assets.
