Bhubaneswar: The state capital, Bhubaneswar, is experiencing unbearable heatwave conditions thanks to a significant rise in humidity levels.
According to data provided by IMD scientist Umasankar Das, the humidity levels in Bhubaneswar have fluctuated significantly over the past nine days. On June 9, the humidity level was recorded at 81.8%. The previous day, June 8, saw a relatively lower humidity level of 70.3%, which was followed by 75.5% on June 7.

The humidity levels continued to vary, with 70.9% recorded on June 6 and 76.8% on June 5. On June 4, the humidity level was 73.6%. The lowest humidity level during this period was recorded on June 2 at 55.4%, while June 3 saw a humidity level of 67.2%. Notably, June 1 had a relatively high humidity level of 80.2%.
The high humidity levels are exacerbating the heatwave conditions, making the city feel even hotter.
