Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Tuesday effected a major reshuffle in the IAS cadre. According to a notification issued by the General Administration & Public Grievance (GA&PG) Department, 1995 batch IAS officer Hemant Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary of the Industries Department, with the additional charge of Chairman of IPICOL, has been allowed to remain in additional charge of Additional Chief Secretary of the Information & Public Relations Department.
Consequently, the additional appointment of IAS officer Sanjay Kumar Singh as Principal Secretary of the Information & Public Relations Department stands terminated with Sharma taking over the charge.
Meanwhile, IAS officer Sanjeeb Kumar Mishra (RR-1997), currently Principal Secretary to the Government, Odia Language, Literature & Culture Department, with additional charge of Principal Secretary to the Government, ST & SC Development, Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare Department, has been appointed as Principal Secretary to the Government, Finance Department. He is allowed to remain in additional charge of Chairman, IDCO.
Similarly, IAS officer N.B.S. Rajput (RR-1999), Principal Secretary to the Governor, with additional charge of Principal Secretary to the Government, Public Enterprises Department, has been appointed as Principal Secretary to the Government, Public Enterprises Department. He is allowed to remain in additional charge of CMD, OSRTC.
Further, IAS officer Bhaskar Jyoti Sarma (RR-1999), Principal Secretary to the Government, Sports & Youth Services Department, with additional charge as CMD, OPTCL, has been appointed as Principal Secretary to the Government, Excise Department. He will also remain in additional charge of CMD, OPTCL.
The additional appointment of IAS officer Guha Poonam Tapas Kumar as Commissioner-cum-Secretary to the Government, Excise Department, stands terminated from the date Sharma assumes charge.
Moreover, IAS officer Roopa Roshan Sahoo (RR-2006), RDC(SD), Berhampur, is appointed as Commissioner-cum-Secretary to the Governor, Odisha.
Similarly, IAS officer Sachin Ramchandra Jadhav (RR-2007), RDC(ND), Sambalpur, with additional charge of CEO, WODC, is appointed as Commissioner-cum-Secretary to Government, Sports & Youth Services Department. He is allowed to remain in additional charge of RDC(ND), Sambalpur and CEO, WODC
Additionally, IAS officer Bhupendra Singh Poonia (RR-2008), MD, IPICOL, with additional charge of Special Secretary to Government, Industries Department, MD, IDCO, and Commissioner-cum-Secretary to Government, Skill Development & Technical Education Department, is appointed as Commissioner-cum-Secretary to Government, Skill Development & Technical Education Department. He is allowed to remain in additional charge of MD, IPICOL.
Similarly, IAS officer B. Parameswaran (RR-2008), RDC(CD), Cuttack, is appointed as Commissioner-cum-Secretary to Government, ST & SC Development, Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare Department.
Additionally, IAS officer Guha Poonam Tapas Kumar (RR-2008), Commissioner-cum-Secretary to Government, Handlooms, Textiles & Handicrafts Department, is allowed to remain in additional charge of RDC(CD), Cuttack.
Furthermore, IAS officer D. Prasanth Kumar Reddy (RR-2009), Director, Industries, with additional charge of MD, OSIC and MD, OSFC, is appointed as Commissioner-cum-Secretary to Government, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Department. He is allowed to remain in additional charge of MD, IDCO.
The additional appointments of IAS officer Hemant Sharma as Additional Chief Secretary to Government, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Department and IAS officer Bhupendra Singh Poonia as MD, IDCO shall stand terminated from the date IAS officer Reddy takes over.
