Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has initiated plans to construct a new Lok Seva Bhawan. The Odisha Bridge and Construction Corporation Limited (OBCC) has been tasked with preparing a comprehensive master plan for the project.
Informing the State Assembly on Saturday, Works Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan stated that OBCC is currently working on an expanded version of the proposed plan. Once finalised, a detailed cost estimate will be prepared and submitted for government approval.
In a written reply to a query by Basta MLA Subasini Jena, the minister highlighted the necessity of a new building, pointing out that the existing Lok Seva Bhawan is 68 years old and suffers from severe parking constraints within its premises.
