Traffic Curbs In Bhubaneswar For National Mediation Conference

Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police, Bhubaneswar–Cuttack, on Wednesday issued a traffic advisory ahead of the 2nd National Mediation Conference, scheduled to be held on September 27–28, 2025, at Loka Seva Bhawan, Bhubaneswar.

The high-profile event will be attended by Chief Justice of India, Judges of the Supreme Court, members of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), Chief Justices and Judges from various High Courts including the Orissa High Court, as well as the Attorney General of India, Solicitor General, Additional Solicitors General, Advocate Generals of several States, Vice Chancellors of National Law Universities, and other eminent dignitaries.

With such a large gathering of dignitaries, the police anticipate heavy traffic congestion daily from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the venue and the dignitaries’ places of stay.

Key stretches likely to be affected include the route from Airport Square to NALCO Square via Hospital Square, AG Square, Raj Bhawan Square, Power House Square, 120 Bn. Square, Shastri Nagar Square, Behera Sahi Square, Jaydev Vihar Square, and Xavier Square.

The Commissionerate Police has urged commuters to: Avoid the above-mentioned routes, if possible; Plan travel in advance to prevent delays; Stay updated through official traffic advisories and local news; and Follow instructions of traffic personnel and cooperate with temporary diversions for smoother flow.

The police appealed to the public for cooperation and support, emphasizing that smooth traffic management is essential to the success of this prestigious national event.
