Balasore: In a significant bust, the Excise team in Soro of Balasore conducted a raid and seized 220 grams of brown sugar valued at approximately Rs 22 lakh. One person, identified as Dibyalok Rout from Gadabhanga village, was arrested in connection with the seizure.
According to reports, the Excise Department received information about Rout’s involvement in the illicit trade and conducted a raid, recovering the contraband and bullets from his possession.
Rout was subsequently produced in court. The operation was carried out by Sub-Inspector Suraj Kumar Tiga and Constable Shashikant Sahu.
