CBI Arrests Two In Odisha Police SI Recruitment Exam Scandal

Bhubaneswar: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) sleuths arrested a police constable, Arjun Nayak, and another person, Nimai Charan Sahu, in connection with the Odisha Police SI recruitment exam scandal.

According to reports, the duo was arrested after two days of intense questioning. Nimai Charan Sahu is believed to be a close associate of the prime accused, Biranchi Nayak. Both have been taken to the CBI office for further interrogation after undergoing medical examination.

The CBI had initiated a probe into the scandal following allegations of irregularities in the recruitment process. The agency has been questioning several suspects, and the arrests are part of the ongoing investigation.

The CBI is likely to seek remand of the accused for further questioning and gather more evidence in the case.

The recruitment scandal has sparked widespread outrage and protests in the state, with many demanding a thorough investigation and strict action against those involved.
