Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar, the capital city of Odisha, is experiencing a dip in temperature, with the mercury plummeting to 11.9°C today, marking a 3.2°C drop over the last three days.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperatures were recorded at 15.1°C on December 21, 13.6°C on December 22, and 11.9°C on December 23. Residents are advised to bundle up and stay warm.
According to the IMD prediction, the chilly weather is expected to intensify from Christmas due to dry, cold north-westerly winds sweeping the region. The departure of a western disturbance will also contribute to a further drop in night temperatures across the state.
Besides, the IMD warned that fog intensity may increase further due to moisture-laden air circulation, potentially reducing visibility and impacting daily activities.
