Subarnapur: Over 20 students were among several people injured when a private picnic bus collided with a paddy-laden tractor on National Highway 126(A) near Sadhapalli village under Dunguripali police station limits in Subarnapur district on Tuesday.
The bus, named ‘Mishra’, was carrying around 40 passengers, including students, teachers, and staff, on a picnic trip from Bargarh to Subarnapur.
According to reports, the collision occurred when the bus rammed into the tractor, leading to panic among passengers.
Local residents rushed to the scene and alerted the police and emergency services. The injured were immediately shifted to the Dunguripali Community Health Centre (CHC), where they are receiving treatment.
