Deogarh: Four school children who had gone missing were rescued from a hill near Tinkabeer village in Deogarh district.
According to reports, the rescued boys identified as Sai Pradhan, Atina Majhi, Pratyush Majhi, and Prami Majhi, all around 10-11 years old, had gone to watch a cricket tournament at the village playground after school and then decided to head to the nearby hill. They reportedly told their families they were heading to tuition. When they didn’t return home, their families searched everywhere for them and even checked the tuition centre, but couldn’t find them.
The breakthrough came when a local shop’s CCTV footage showed the boys walking towards the hill.
The families of the missing boys had filed a complaint at Riamal police station, prompting Deogarh Superintendent of Police (SP) Anil Kumar Mishra to order an investigation. A search party, including police, villagers, and relatives, launched a search for the boys. They were eventually found safe on a hill near Tinkabeer village and are now receiving medical treatment for cold exposure.
