Bhubaneswar: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) will place all 211 Examination Management Hubs (EMHs) for the upcoming Plus II examinations under round-the-clock AI-powered CCTV surveillance to prevent question paper leaks.
The Plus II examinations are scheduled to be held from February 18 to March 25.
According to the hub management guidelines released on Monday, a total of 1,357 examination centres and seven sub-centres have been linked to the 211 EMHs.
Higher secondary schools, colleges, universities, and a state sub-treasury have been designated as EMHs, all of which will be guarded by armed police personnel. Strong rooms at the hubs will remain under continuous CCTV monitoring, with live feeds tracked at CHSE’s central examination management hub in Bhubaneswar.
The council will appoint principals of the selected institutions as EMH supervisors. These supervisors will form panels of teachers to act as observers during the examinations. To ensure neutrality, observers will be deployed on a rotational basis, with no observer assigned to the same centre more than twice during the examination period. Observers will also carry question papers to the exam centres and supervise the conduct of the exams.
CHSE will dispatch question papers and other examination-related materials to the EMHs in two phases — the first in February and the second between March 4 and 6.
With enhanced AI surveillance and strict security measures, CHSE aims to ensure the smooth and secure conduct of Plus II examinations across the state.
