Kendujhar: A POCSO court in Keonjhar district on Tuesday sentenced a man to life imprisonment for sexually abusing his minor daughter in the Badabil police station area last year.
The court also directed the authorities concerned to provide Rs 10 lakh as compensation to the victim.
According to the case details, the victim’s mother witnessed the incident and confronted her husband before lodging a complaint at Badabil police station, following which legal proceedings were initiated.
During the trial, the court examined eight witnesses and considered the evidence presented in the case. Based on the evidence, the district POCSO court convicted the accused and sentenced him to life imprisonment.
