Bhubaneswar: A youth was found dead under suspicious circumstances at a hotel at Pokhariput area under Airfield Police Station in Bhubaneswar late on Thursday night.
According to reports, the 25-year-old Babuna Pradhan had been in a live-in relationship with a young woman for the past six months. The woman had informed Bubuna’s family about his ill health, but when they reached the hotel, they found his body hanging.
Upon being informed, police recovered the body and sent it for post-mortem examination. The cause of death is unclear, and the woman is missing.
Meanwhile, the deceased’s family filed a complaint suspecting foul play and alleging that the woman was involved in Bubuna’s death.
Based on the complaint, police have launched an investigation to determine the exact circumstances surrounding Bubuna’s death and searching for the missing woman.
