Bhubaneswar: A total of 39,505 posts across various government departments in Odisha has been filled since June 12, 2024, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi informed the state assembly on Monday.
In a written reply to a question by Nayagarh MLA Aruna Kumar Sahoo, Majhi said that all appointments were made as per notifications issued by the State Government’s recruitment agencies.
A department-wise breakdown showed that the Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment Department accounted for 810 appointments, the Energy Department 56, the Forest, Environment and Climate Change Department 1,750, and the Health and Family Welfare Department 5,185. Other departments also recorded significant recruitment during the period.
The Chief Minister stressed that these appointments are aimed at strengthening administrative efficiency and ensuring timely delivery of public services.
