Vigilance Arrests Assistant Executive Engineer For Disproportionate Assets

Bhubaneswar: The Assistant Executive Engineer of Derabish Irrigation Sub-Division under Kendrapara Irrigation Division, was arrested by Odisha Vigilance on Thursday for possessing disproportionate assets. Pramod Kumar Ray will be produced before the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack.

The vigilance team conducted searches on Ray’s properties and found evidence of unexplained wealth, including two multi-storeyed buildings in Bhubaneswar and Choudwar, two plots, cash worth Rs. 4.48 lakhs, and deposits of Rs. 39.21 lakhs.

A case has been registered against Ray under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2018. The investigation is underway.
