Thunderstorms And Lightning Likely In Five Odisha Districts In Next 3 Hours: IMD

Bhubaneswar:  The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and light rain in five districts of Odisha over the next three hours.

According to the nowcast issued at 2:15pm by the IMD, the districts likely to be affected are Ganjam, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Anugul, and Deogarh.

The regional weather office has warned that one or two places in these districts may experience thunderstorm with lightning or light rainfall. People have been advised to remain vigilant and monitor the weather closely.

The IMD has urged residents, especially those in open areas or engaged in outdoor activities, to move to safer places immediately in case of worsening conditions to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
