Bhubaneswar: President of India Droupadi Murmu will visit Odisha on April 21, 2026 (Tomorrow), during which she will inaugurate multiple key infrastructure and cultural projects in Rourkela.
During her day-long visit, the President is scheduled to inaugurate a Planetarium and Science Centre, the Nirmal Munda Parivesh Path, a Tribal Museum, and an Integrated Command and Control Centre at a public function in Rourkela.
In view of the high-profile visit, Rourkela Police has made elaborate multi-layered security arrangements covering the event venue at Sector 13 as well as the President’s convoy routes.
Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Sanjeeb Panda visited Rourkela on Friday and reviewed the security arrangements with DIG (Western Range) Brijesh Kumar Rai, Rourkela SP Nitesh Wadhwani, and other senior police officers.
Sundargarh Collector Subhankar Mohapatra said that all security arrangements are being implemented in strict compliance with the Blue Book protocol. He added that around 50 platoons of police force will be deployed to ensure smooth conduct of the President’s visit.
