Bhubaneswar: The Government of Odisha on Tuesday approved 18 industrial projects worth ₹3,877.14 crore, aimed at accelerating economic growth and generating 7,565 jobs across 11 districts in the State.
The approvals were cleared at the 146th meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg.
The latest round of clearances comes as Odisha intensifies its push towards industrialisation under Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, with a focus on fast-tracking investments, ensuring rapid project grounding, and boosting employment. Officials said more than 150 industrial projects have been grounded and inaugurated in the past two years, reflecting the State’s emphasis on translating investment intent into on-ground execution.
The newly approved projects span diverse sectors including metals, advanced manufacturing, explosives, electronics, pharmaceuticals, infrastructure, shipbuilding, and tourism. Districts set to benefit include Balasore, Deogarh, Ganjam, Jajpur, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Khordha, Koraput, Puri, Sambalpur and Sundargarh.
In the metals and downstream sector, Runaya Eckart Aluminium Powders Private Limited will set up an aluminium downstream facility, while Scan Steels Limited, Jay Jagannath Steel & Power Limited and SS Alufoils International Limited will expand their manufacturing capacities, reinforcing Odisha’s position as a major metal hub.
In the explosives segment, Solar Industries India Limited will establish a manufacturing unit in Jharsuguda. The electronics manufacturing ecosystem will be strengthened by Envair Electrodyne Limited, which plans to set up an ESDM unit.
Healthcare manufacturing will see new investments from Harman Finochem Limited and Ambitech Healthcare Private Limited, while South Block Marketing Private Limited will establish a facility for recycling plastic and metal products, aligning with circular economy goals.
Industrial infrastructure and logistics will be augmented by projects from Tamil Nadu Ispat Private Limited and Alps Mining & Infra Projects Private Limited.
Marking diversification into maritime manufacturing, Baleshwar Shipyard and Infra Private Limited will undertake shipbuilding and repair operations in Balasore, positioning Odisha as an emerging coastal manufacturing hub.
In the tourism and hospitality sector, six projects by Jas Constructions Private Limited, Rath Hospitality Private Limited, Keonjhar Regal Paradise Private Limited, Karyon Ventures Private Limited, Surya Eco Resorts Private Limited and Chaturbhuja Hotel & Resorts Private Limited will boost tourism infrastructure and service-sector employment.
Officials said the approvals reflect Odisha’s strategy of building a diversified industrial ecosystem while ensuring regional distribution of investments and jobs. With streamlined clearance mechanisms and strong governance, the State continues to witness sustained investor confidence and industrial momentum.
The government reiterated its commitment to positioning Odisha as a leading industrial growth engine in eastern India, aligned with the broader vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047” and the State’s goal of “Samruddha Odisha 2036.”
