Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has announced plans to set up five special cyber courts across the state to ensure speedy trials in rising cases of cyber crimes.
Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan shared the details, stating that these dedicated courts aim to deliver prompt justice to victims of digital offences.
The minister emphasized that strict action will be taken against cyber criminals. Judges appointed to these courts will possess specialized knowledge of cyber laws and technology, enabling them to better understand and evaluate complex digital evidence.
In addition, the government is planning to establish seven special courts for women to address cases related to crimes against them more efficiently.
