Jharsuguda: A suspected extramarital affair allegedly led to the murder of a man in Odisha’s Jharsuguda district, police said on Wednesday.
The incident took place late Tuesday night at Sarbahal Nuapada village under the jurisdiction of Sadar Police Station.
The deceased was identified as Sundar Rohidas, a resident of Nuapada village.
According to Jharsuguda Superintendent of Police Gundala Reddy Raghavendra, the prime accused, identified as Hitesh Rohidas, allegedly killed Sundar by attacking him with a bicycle crank handle.
Police said the murder was suspected to have been triggered by an alleged extramarital affair.
The SP said that police have arrested the main accused Hitesh Rohidas, his elder brother Lingaraj Rohidas, and a minor in connection with the case.
Further investigation into the incident is underway.
