Bhubaneswar: Intense heatwave conditions continued in Odisha on Wednesday as Sambalpur recorded the highest temperature in the state.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) report recorded at 11:30 AM, Sambalpur emerged as the hottest place with a scorching 41.2°C. Hirakud recorded 39°C, Jharsuguda recorded 38.4°C, Bhubaneswar recorded 37°C and Chandbali recorded 36.2°C.
The high humidity has further intensified the discomfort for Odisha people.
The Meteorological Department has advised people to avoid going out in the sun between 11 AM and 3 PM, stay hydrated, and take necessary precautions to prevent heat-related ailments.
