Bhubaneswar: The National Investigation Agency has intensified its probe into the Azad Nagar bomb blast in Sundarpada in Bhubaneswar, after recovering two suspicious scooters believed to be linked to the explosion on January 27.
A special NIA team, assisted by forensic experts, is carrying out a detailed examination of the seized vehicles at the Airfield Police Station. Investigators are probing possible terror links, including the suspected use of RDX in the blast.
Police had earlier named Shahnawaz Malik as the prime accused in the case. He later succumbed to injuries during treatment, officials confirmed.
The NIA is now focusing on forensic evidence from the scooters to establish the source of explosives and trace the wider network behind the incident.
