Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday issued a nowcast warning for light to moderate rainfall over five Odisha district.
According to the warning issued at 9:40 am, light to moderate rain is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Ganjam, Nayagarh, Puri, Cuttack, and Dhenkanal within the next three hours.
The IMD has advised people in these districts to remain alert and keep a close watch on the weather for any worsening conditions.
This yellow alert comes amid the ongoing active southwest monsoon phase across the state, which has already brought rainfall to several parts of Odisha in the last 24 hours.
