Bhubaneswar: To facilitate the safe launching of a Road Over Bridge (ROB) between Malatipatpur and Puri in the Khordha Road Division, East Coast Railway (ECoR) will undertake essential engineering and traffic block works. Due to this, several train services will be cancelled, short-terminated, short-originated, or rescheduled for a brief period.
Train cancellations
Several trains will remain cancelled on the specified dates:
Train No. 18125 Rourkela–Puri Express will remain cancelled from Rourkela on 29 June 2026, while Train No. 18126 Puri–Rourkela Express will remain cancelled from Puri on 30 June 2026.
Train No. 68404 Puri–Khurda Road MEMU and Train No. 68403 Khurda Road–Puri MEMU will remain cancelled on 30 June 2026. Similarly, Train No. 68416 Puri–Cuttack MEMU and Train No. 68415 Cuttack–Puri MEMU will also remain cancelled on the same date.
Other cancelled services include Train No. 68438 Cuttack–Bhadrak MEMU and Train No. 68437 Bhadrak–Cuttack MEMU, Train No. 68410 Puri–Khurda Road MEMU and Train No. 68409 Khurda Road–Puri MEMU, and Train No. 12278 Puri–Howrah Shatabdi Express along with its return service Train No. 12277 Howrah–Puri Shatabdi Express.
Train No. 18414 Puri–Paradeep Express and Train No. 18413 Paradeep–Puri Express will also remain cancelled, along with Train No. 58406 Paradeep–Cuttack Passenger and Train No. 58405 Cuttack–Paradeep Passenger.
Train No. 18416 Puri–Barbil Express will remain cancelled from Puri on 30 June 2026, while its return service Train No. 18415 Barbil–Puri Express will remain cancelled from Barbil on 1 July 2026.
Short-termination and short-originations
Several trains will be short-terminated or short-originated at Khurda Road instead of Puri.
Train No. 15640 Kamakhya–Puri Express will be short-terminated at Khurda Road, while Train No. 15639 Puri–Kamakhya Express will originate from Khurda Road instead of Puri.
Train No. 22201 Sealdah–Puri Duronto Express will be short-terminated at Khurda Road, and Train No. 22202 Puri–Sealdah Duronto Express will originate from Khurda Road.
Train No. 12145 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus–Puri Express will be short-terminated at Khurda Road, while Train No. 12146 Puri–Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express will originate from the same station.
Other affected services include Train No. 68450 Daspalla–Puri MEMU, Train No. 68421 Angul–Puri MEMU, Train No. 18401 Bangriposi–Puri Express, and Train No. 68441 Jaleswar–Puri MEMU, all of which will be short-terminated at Khurda Road. Their corresponding return services will originate from Khurda Road.
Train No. 68414 Puri–Talcher MEMU will originate from Khurda Road instead of Puri, while Train No. 68413 Talcher–Puri MEMU will be short-terminated at Khurda Road.
Rescheduling of trains
Several long-distance trains will also be rescheduled due to the traffic block.
Train No. 12887 Shalimar–Puri Superfast Express will depart 5 hours late, while Train No. 18409 Shalimar–Puri Sri Jagannath Express will be delayed by 7 hours.
Train No. 12802 Anand Vihar Terminal–Puri Purushottam Express will be rescheduled by 5 hours, and Train No. 18451 Hatia–Puri Tapaswini Express by 4 hours.
Train No. 12844 Ahmedabad–Puri Express and Train No. 20471 Shri Ganganagar–Puri Weekly Express will be delayed by 2 hours each, while Train No. 18426 Durg–Puri Express will also run behind schedule by 2 hours.
Train No. 22866 Puri–Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Superfast Express will be rescheduled by 5 hours 30 minutes, Train No. 12822 Puri–Shalimar Dhauli Express by 2 hours, and Train No. 12837 Howrah–Puri Superfast Express by 4 hours.
