Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a nowcast warning for eight districts predicting thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and light to moderate rainfall in the next three hours.
According to the warning issued at 1:00 pm on Monday, thunderstorm accompanied by lightning and light to moderate rainfall, along with gusty winds reaching up to 40 kmph, is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Nayagarh, Angul, Keonjhar, Ganjam, Khordha (including Bhubaneswar city), Jajpur, Cuttack (including Cuttack city), and Dhenkanal within the next three hours.
The IMD has advised people in these areas to keep a close watch on the weather for any worsening conditions and take necessary precautions against lightning, strong winds, and sudden rainfall.
