Bhubaneswar: Senior IAS officer Suresh Kumar Vashishth (1998 batch) has been assigned additional charge of the General Administration & Public Grievance (GA&PG) and Parliamentary Affairs departments by the Odisha government.
According to an official notification issued by the General Administration & Public Grievance (GA&PG) Department, Vashishth, who is currently serving as Principal Secretary in the Social Security & Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (SSEPD) Department, has been given the additional responsibilities following a bureaucratic reshuffle in the state administration.
The move comes after the superannuation of senior IAS officer Surendra Kumar (1993 batch) on June 30, 2026, which created vacancies in key administrative positions.
The state government has made the temporary arrangement to ensure continuity in governance and the smooth functioning of administrative work across departments.
