Bhubaneswar : The grand passing out parade of 22 Deputy Superintendents and 100 Sub-Inspectors of the Odisha Excise Department was held today at the Police Training Institute, Bairi, Jajpur district, in an enthusiastic atmosphere.
After months of training, the orderly parade, high morale, and efficient performance of the trainees impressed all the guests present.
Prithviraj Harichandan, Minister of Law, Works and Excise, Government of Odisha, attended as the Chief Guest and received the salute of the parade. In his address, he praised the trainees for their discipline and dedication. He called upon them to discharge their responsibilities with honesty, transparency, impartiality, and a public service attitude.
The Minister said their role is crucial in ensuring strict implementation of the Excise Act and creating a drug-free and healthy environment in society. He wished all the trainees a bright professional life.
Badachana MLA Amar Kumar Nayak, Excise Commissioner P. Anvesha Reddy, and Jajpur Collector Ambar Kumar Kar attended as Guests of Honour.
Trainees who excelled in parade, drill, law, physical fitness, weapon handling, and other subjects during training were awarded medals and prizes by the Chief Guest.
Senior officers of the Directorate of Excise, Biju Patnaik State Police Academy, and Police Training Institute, Bairi, along with distinguished guests, trainers, and families of the trainees, attended the ceremony.
The program concluded with all guests, officers, and trainees celebrating the success in a festive atmosphere. The passing out ceremony marks the beginning of a new generation of efficient, disciplined, and people-oriented officers in the Odisha Excise Department.
